im looking through all the manuals i have laying around and as usual none of them list the exact bullet i have....

so i usually go with the same weight/style listed... all the manuals say 1.15 with 200gr spr hp's, and the same with fmj, alright

i seat the bullet at 1.15 and the case mouth extends beyond the taper of the bullet.... i don't think something is checking out here....

how about some insight??? how about someone with a hornady manual hook me up ...???:D

For XTP's, use 1.250 --> 1.275.

Good Luck...

After you seat the bullet, and crimp, use your gun's barrel as a guage. Remove the barrel from the gun (I hope a Colt Gov't or similar) and drop the loaded cartridge into the chamber. It should go into the chamber so that the base of the cartridge is even with the barrel hood extension with little or no coaxing. If it passes this test it will probably work OK. This will save some time, before going to the range to see if they work.
