I'm thinking about getting into throwing knives and I don't want to risk ruining my folder so I started looking around and I want to know what your opinions are of the best knife for around $20. I also want a set of at least 2 knives and 3 being what I want. It would also have to come with a sheath.
So what is better? knives or darts?

Boker is pretty good. Hibben makes a few nice throwing knives, United. If you want more info send me an email [[ schaples @ yahoo .com ]] ( and I can probably get you a good deal on whatever you decide on).

Remember that throwing knives are heat treated differently to avoid breakage. Other knives are likely to break at the tip.

They throw like a charm, by the blade, the handle and "no-spin".
