See 9/24/09 page 8A.
Remington took out a full page ad to celebrate the 10 MILLIONTH 870 made.:)
Never thought I'd see a modern American newspaper run a gun ad...they must be about out of business. Thankfully Remington seems to be doing much better than them.

Just for info, Serial # 10,000,000 is not an Express.

It is a remarkable story for this company and the 870. To have sold so many in the past 60 years. I like the Ithaca 37 and have 3 of them, however the 870 has greater appeal and a much greater success story. Where others have failed during this period of time Remington has succeeded.

Too bad nobody reads the paper anymore---Ad dollars would have been better spent elsewhere.

Franky, I'm surprised USSRA Today even let the Ad run  , but given the state of the print news industry today they're probably grabbing every advertising dollar they can get.

Interesting....Seems recently with some of the new products out, like the R-15, that Remington is going to make gun grabbing a whole lot harder these days.

Thanks for the heads up. I entered also. Though I never seem to have the luck to win those contests.
I agree with the previous poster: I like Ithaca's and have a few 37s. Though I have a Remington 1100 that my grandfather handed down to me and I took my first dove with a few weeks ago.
Glad after over a 100 some odd years, they're still going strong.
