Question for 1911 enthusiasts

I am in the planning stage of doing a 1911 build and was wondering if anyone has experience with the nighthawk aftermarket parts. In particular if the parts are worth the extra money over say brands as wilson combat, or ed brown. Thanks in advance.

The Nighthawk guys are just a bunch of Wilson guys who quit a very few years ago and started their own company across town.
I doubt there is a lot of difference, but I haven't tried any of their parts yet.

Yep...rcmodel has it right.
Both are good but there have been some known issues with Nighthawks pistols though...I'd go with Wilson Combat myself...parts or pistols.

Like what? For the money I would go with a Les Baer, but I am curious.

I have a number of both Nighthawk and Wilson pistols.....and have used both their parts to upgrade Colt 45's. It has been my impression that their parts are equal in quality.....if there is an exception, I would give the nod to Wilson for the magazines, especially their recent "tactical" magazines which are very nicely made. My 2 cents.

So would I...but the OP didn't mention Baer.
Nighthawk some serious finish problems and I recall reading about several other mishaps too. (little things mostly...but a lot of them)
