Does one really have to essentially sign away their 4th amendement right to legally own a machine gun, an AOW or a silencer (supressor)? Can cops legally search someones house who legally owns a machine gun at any time and for anything?

If you own and NFA weapon, the ONLY thing ATF can do is ask to see the paperwork and verify you have paid your transfer tax. They cannot search your home or do anything else without obtaining a search warrant like any other LEO agency.
