Pocket Carrying a Glock 19

Has anyone found a pocket holster for a G19?

I would like to carry my G19 in the knee pocket of my cargo pants, it fits easily. However I would like to get a pocket holster or something that keeps it upright and keeps the trigger covered. There are quite a few pocket holsters out there for g23's but nothing for the g19. Has anyone found one? or another solution to this problem?

Thanks.

OK, maybe I'm just missing something in your post, but a holster for the G23 should fit the G19 with no issues whatsoever.

That's sort of a heavy object for a knee pocket, isn't it?
If you insist on going that route, I'd look into a custom-made job in all Kydex, perhaps with a pad on the rear. And seeing as knee pockets have big openings, you may need to find a way to keep the holster in the pocket while drawing. I've had a custom pocket-holster (MUCH smaller) made by SharkTac to fit a particular pocket ... Maybe you should E-Mail them and ask if they've done this setup before?

Have you considered IWB carry at all? It is easier than you think, with a good belt and holster.

I know at least some size 46 pants could fit a 19, especially with a pocket holster.

I'm pretty sure you will carry it in that knee-high cargo pocket for about fourteen steps before you seek another method.

Not a pocket gun. Don't care how big the pocket is, that sounds really uncomfortable.

The G19 is, however, a terrific belt gun. ;)

Step, KLUNK (ow!) ... Step, KLUNK (ow!) ... Step, KLUNK (ow!) ... Step, KLUNK (ow!)

The more I think about it, the more it makes me cringe ... my cargo pant's knee pockets are all actually right on the knee ... how much goes a loaded-up Glock 19 weigh, anyway?
Add in the lousy pocket shape for retaining a holster, and the slow draw from the pocket, and the obvious big heavy object in your pocket to anyone watching the pants swing around the knee independently of your gait ... Why is belt carry out of the question, again?

Yep. Had a G-23 and a G-19. Couldn't carry either one comfortably. Both are long gone. They are not pocket carry guns.

I can (and do) carry an alloy 1911 that weighs about the same, but is thinner and better balanced.

I have a G19 and I once placed it in the leg pocket on my cargo pants. I agree with the above posters that is not the way you would want to carry it. It is not comfortable or practical. The G19 is too big to be a pocket pistol, so is the G26. The biggest thing I have been able to reasonably pocket carry is a Kahr K9 in some pockets, others were a no go.

yeah... OUCH... if you want to pocket carry a Glock.. get the subcompact Glocks and then I still wish you luck as they are a bit of a wide load for pocket carry... get a good IWB or OWB holster and forget you are carrying (figuratively speaking of course)

Next time you're at home for the day, throw the G19 in your cargo pocket and see if you can tolerate it. If so, email/call the folks at www.wrbusa.com and ask if they'll sew a pocket holster for your G19...they may be able to do it.

Identical in every respect when it comes to holster fit.

Same reason I dont wear cargo pants. The useless pockets are, well, useless....

Zach S, I use the knee pockets on mine all the time. For a wallet*, for papers, for sunglasses, for a paperback book ... but for a block of steel full of lead weights, I stick with a quality holster and a serious belt, because I do NOT want that much weight swinging around in a pocket.

*(I detest sitting on my wallet, even though it is a lot thinner than the average monster I see at the checkout)

Great idea! G-19, C-1, pocket holster, knee pocket. (What could possibly go wrong?) I'd tell you where to get that pocket holster; but, then, I'd be complicit; and my conscience might start to bother me. ;)

sorry - tried the exact same thing with a G26 - and that didn't work - WAY too heavy and blocky......personally, I would rethink that scenario

My G19 fits in my front and back pocket pretty good.
I won't carry it like that though, my G19 rocks with an IWB holster. :)

My pocket carry guns are my keltecs, a PF9, and a P32.
The PF9 is usually in an IWB holster though. ;)
