I was wondering how much powder is loaded into the Greek HXP ammo sold by the CMP. I was a bit surprised that there was 53.4 gr of some type of Ball powder. The bullet was 152 gr FMJBT.
The HXP shoots very well in my Garand. I was a bit surprised at the amount of powder in the case. Does anyone know what type of powder the Greeks used?
I know IMR4895 and H4895 are the preferred powders due their burn rate, but I'm curious what powder is in the HXP.
Anyone know?

Don't be surprised to find 'Ball' powder in .30-'06. You'll find it in most LC69 and later.
