What if you were given $2000 to spend on a single new handgun? What would you get? What you have done to it?

Probably a Les Baer Thunder Ranch Special, or a Walther GSP Black Magic.

I'd have a .38 super built on a Caspian lighweight frame and a commander slide, with the deepest blueing I could find.

Another P7M8 and a buttload of mags.

definately a desert eagle in .44 magnum :D
.50AE is tempting, but ammo is just too expensive :(

C96 Broomhandle Mauser.

Oh. You said "new"...

Hmmm... Either a Baer TRS or a Wilson CQB; whichever I found first.

Maybe a Freedon Arms in 44 mag.
What you have done to it?
For two grand I better not have to have anything done to it! But I probably would add a scope.

For a single pistol I would also have to go with the P210-5. Or it would get me about half way through an engraving and gold inlay job on my German Walther PPK.

definately a desert eagle in .44 magnum

I think the question was about buying a handgun not a artificial penis :):)

In order to fit those stipulations, I would go with a Pre-ban Krinkov SBR 223 built on a Norinco 84 reciever with a folding stock and a 30 rounder loaded with ballistic tips.
My permit says I can carry a firearm, it doesn't say it has to be a handgun. :)
I'd need a custom holster.....

Probably something along the lines of an RRA Bullseye Wadcutter 1911A1. Only mods would be a set of Nill adjustable stocks. Anything left over would go towards a Dillon 550.

Right now? A single brand new hand gun? Probably a really good deal on a Springfield Pro. If I couldn't get one under $2,000, then a Rock River Arms Limited Match with Novak sights. If I didn't want to wait 18 months, then probably a HK P7M8 and several cases of ammo.

Baer TRS. Save the difference to later buy a second Baer TRS.

Colt Mil-Spec, crisp 4# trigger
ammo
holster, belt
still more mags
Mike's got the right idea...steak and tail , cheesecake and coffee for dessert.

Buy a second Glock 17 $470. Add Mep nightsights $65, 3.5# trigger job $65, & extended mag catch $30/slide stop $18 total $178. W/ pistol $178 + $470 = $648. New holster $110. $648 + $110 = $758. $2,000 - $758 = $1242. Spend the $1242 on a national training school, 5 days.

I do so covet a Sig P210, upscale, and loaded. That would probably take care of most of the 2 grand.

Most likely a SIG P210-6.

A Daisy Red Ryder BB gun, Wal Mart edition ($24.95). 18 k Gold BB's to shoot right out that fine barrel. Custom engraving on the stock saying: My best friend. With me through the good times, never left me in the bad times.

And then I would take the remaining $1900 and buy a kick butt 1911

:D

Wait! I have a regular P210, don't know what model, but it has fixed sights and is great. What I don't have that costs about $2000 is a Semmerling.

2 large would get me a phat carry 1911 racegun. Start w/ a pony. Get a skeletonized hammer/trigger w/ action job/street reliability package, beavetail grip safety, lower & flare ejection port, bevel mag well, ramped barrel, tighten frame to slide, match barrel bushing, dehorn, Heinie Slant Pro 8 night sights, & finish it off w/ Birdsong T so frame, slide, barrel, & trigger/hammer were all black. Black rubber grips w/ finger groves. Of course not knowing jack abut 1911 raceguns I don't know if any of these mods are help the pistol?
