Just wanted to let you guys know about a local sheath maker that provided good customer service.

I recently purchased a Jerry Hossom Forager from Spyderco on closeout and the Kydex sheath wouldn't lock the blade in properly. It turned out that the sheaths were made locally by Scott Gere for Spyderco so I tracked him down. He explained that the handle manufacturer didn't hold to consistent tolerances causing some of the sheaths to not lock on tightly. Spyderco gave him one knife to build the sheath around so many of the other production runs were not always matching the one he built it around.

His build sample locked into my sheath perfectly. He stopped what he was working on and had my sheath done in a few minutes. I now have him making a little sheath for my Spyderco Swick and will post pics up as soon as he is finished (hopefully today).

I made the mistake of buying when they were half off, now they are even lower. If anyone wants one I live down the street from the factory and I think the walk in price is cheaper then the web. Let me know and I will check in on them. I picked up my Swick so here are the pics.
