The Boker Subcom Folder looks like a nice small pocket knife. Pocket silhouette wouldn't appear to look threatening.
Good steel( AUS8), nicely shaped blade, relatively inexpensive (under $30).
Anyone have any experience, and comments good or bad, re: this knife?

I own two of them, the Subcom and the subclaw. I stretched the pocket clip slightly and use it as a money clip. For me, the overall size makes it a bit difficult to open quickly, but it is nice to have a small blade available for opening packages. I think Aus8 is a little soft, and edge retention has been typical of the steel, but it does sharpen easily enough. The Subcom or Wharcom are probably more versatile then the subclaw, but the subclaw does look cooler.

I have the Subclaw and Wharcom, and I love them. While they are short, they are also broad and have a good grip to them all over. Very tough too, I've dropped one down concrete steps and it was fine.
They are great if you need a short blade due to local restrictions, but they still can do some damage when needed.

I was intrigued by the subclaw until I saw a particular review by some NYC-Italian sounding dude where he kind of explained why he didn't like it. Go look for youtube reviews and try to find that one if you want an unfavorable opinion to weigh in with the good ones. I personally decided it doesn't really fill a niche for me.

I have the Subcom and the Wharncom (in my pocket right now) - wonderful little designs (I don't really have a use for the claw or rescue designs). They remind me of my old Ti Hideaway Knife, except they're so cheap that I never give a worry to using them (and despite the hard use, I've never had a problem with them.
Chad los Banos/Daywalker is an amazing knife designer (I have several of his other designs) - and he turns out to be a great guy as well. If I were to pick my favorite all-around, it'd probably be his regular-blade Trance, with the M-Type and Wharcom close behind (depending on the duty). I own dozens of knives, but I don't put on pants without some sort of CLB-designed knife in them nowadays. They're inexpensive and wonderfully functional.

I bought two, one for me and one for my little brother.
We both love the size and design and since we both
normally use money clips, this design is perfect.
