When he was talking about shooting down the amendment that would have created complete CCW reciprocity in the US.


Also if anyone has a link to the quote where he says the 2nd amendment doesn't guarantee individual RTKBA that would be awesome....

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., who pledged to filibuster the amendment, said it scuttled states' rights.

"Each state has carefully crafted its concealed-carry laws in the way that makes the most sense to protect its citizens," he said. "To gut the ability of local police and sheriffs to determine who should be able to carry a concealed weapon makes no sense."

It might be difficult to find an exact quote from him on individual rights.

Just wanted to have them both with a source to refer to in a discussion with some friends.

The quote that I boxed, has him referring to the acceptability of concealed carry. I'd bet a dollar to a donut that he's made the complete opposite type of statement. Finding this stuff, especially older quotes, is difficult without going Lexis-Nexis.
