Anyone have any experience with this knife?

I might pick one up for daily carry.

Very cool looking, but a buddy that got one had the lock pry open in a gorilla grip.

I was going to get one, but I went with the Benchmade Barrage.

Am carrying mine as we speak.uh...urrr, I mean as I type. Great knife. Great edge holder and that CPM 154CM is sick sharp. The novel locking device it has is easy to use and master and after a few minutes of practice becomes second nature.

Here's what I've been rotating these past few months as EDC's. Spec Bump is #4:

I am a big fan of this knife, but I much prefer the framelock on the titanium ones that are no longer in production. Still, the grip pattern in the G10 is the best grip pattern I've ever seen.

OMG!! You mean they stopped making the "Bump"?!! Oh, that sucks big time! I had to sell my green handled Bump during a time of economic crisis last year. I've really been wanting to get another now that things are better. Those knives were worth every penny paid for them. damn...

They haven't made the blue, green, or even-rarer grey titanium Bumps in years. You can still find one every now and then, but you gotta dig. I've had a blue one and two green ones, and I really miss them.

Oh well, I imagine Kershaw will find a suitable replacement for that niche. They consistently put out a great product and their collaborations with Ken Onion produce some awesome knives.

Someone recently suggested that the relationship went bad between Onion and Kershaw; perhaps things got dicey?

Be that the case then there wouldn't be any new models being offered and there are some on the KAI website (http://www.kershawknives.com/) and/or the ones that were there are now ALL gone and that ins't the case...

There is the G10 Offset #1597G10 with the same type of handle design and somewhat similar blade and to a lesser degree the Boa # 1580 and the Baby Boa #1585BA and the Storm #1470 and Storm ll #1475 and the Speed Bump #1595, 1596 is still available...

There's also the Ram 1910 and the Junkyard Dog #1720, 1725 series of blades that are nice...I don't have many in my collection but those I have I do like very much...Leek, Scallion, Chive, Bump, Boa, JYD, Ram and a few of their military blades #0100 Fixed and the #0121 Ranger green and the #0400 Tanto folder and just ordered the Rodeo Storm...

Knives get taken off the market because they aren't selling to expectations or they were a collaboration with a limited number run for collector value...In a few cases it was the death of the only person who made those knives and it was done in memoriam or "because nobody else knew how to shape it, properly or quickly".

SeekHer, this was just hearsay from a few months ago. However, I just looked it up and it does appear the he is not going to be further collaborating with Kershaw.

Not sure where you got the idea that they were going to stop producing his already designed knives - that would be a poor idea business-wise. BTW, the Junkyard Dog 1 and 2 are Tim Galyean designs...and Ken Onion was never responsible for all of Kershaw's knives, just a majority of the successful ones :).

:what::what:Man, I have been out of the loop for awhile.:what:
I certainly hope Kershaw retains the rights to continue production. Together, they put out some really nice, well designed and executed knives for the money.
Guess I better get a move on. There have been about half a dozen Kershaw/Onion collaboration knives I've been wanting.:banghead::(
