Let me guess. You had a target contest with one of the mods and lost. ;) :D

+1 for mods preventing THR from turning into the mall ninja road.

Agreed. Given the lack of ads, this is a true labor of love for the folks supporting & administering the site. Visit any other forum, guns or otherwise, and it is nearly impossible to find a post amid the frenzy of ads & pop-ups. When you do, the profanity & flame throwing is ridiculous. THR is an awesome site & a terrific place to learn & play.

I have had my disagreements from time to time over my sarcasm being misinterpreted by the mods with resulting sanctions. I have also let stuff roll off my keyboard from time to time that they PROPERLY interpreted as foolhardy with resulting sanctions.:D Even so, I am very THANKFUL for thier careful nature & low tolerance for any activity that might diminish the experience of the site. I like that my kids can read & learn without fear of the usual web concerns.

To the mods & admins---Thanks for an awesome job, guys.

This is my #1 resource for entertainment and information on firearms and r2kba both at home and at work.

I come here 90% of the time for info, 10% of the time to see why rbernie has locked threads in the general forum  :D

Count me in...I would like to thank the mods in this forum too...I barely go to the other forums because I learn a lot more here and the atmosphere is really great and some people are really funny. Constructive criticism abounds in this place and lots of advice for little people like me...

Thanks, THR !!!

If you search this sub-forum for threads containing the word "Thursday" you can get a bit of the history of this "tradition."

Some time back a sort of pattern evolved where, like clockwork, on Thursdays, someone would show up in Tech Support to complain about the mods, the quality of moderation, the forum rules, or what have you.

It became a kind of standing joke to observe that some new criticism was "right on time, after all, it's Thursday."

Bikerdoc's "First Thursday" threads reverse that vector.

That's okay, though. All the mods contribute a percentage of our generous mod salary to keep bikerdoc on our side.
