Got the VCR all set to tape even though I plan on watching.

Boss knows TR is my favorite and lets me know "there's something in here you're really going to like" when he brings me film that he knows has TR stuff in it...

Will have to watch the credits also as I think at least some of the archival footage came from us.

Yes, but

RICHARD DREYFUSS as TR? That's the best they could do? :banghead:

Of course, I missed the first half. :cuss:

I'll watch part 2 tonight, and hope to catch the first part later.

I didn't really mind Dreyfuss voicing TR. What freaked me was seeing Bill Clinton's mug popping up on my screen! Ye gods! I was so rattled I have no idea what he even said.

I liked the way he talked about him like he knew the man. Why was he on the show anyway?

I yam suprised that WJC wasn't pounding himself on the back for awarding TR the Medal of Honor. What a dick.

It struck me as I was watching part 2 this evening how similar the careers of TR and Winston Churchill were...

The episodes have been preety good thus far...two observations, though.

Dreyfuss as TR???? Could someone in casting please get a clue!!!!!!!

Having Billy Clinton opine on the TR
legacy is idiocy. TR would have given
that buffoon a fist beating of the first rate. Clinton seems to think that managing to hold the office for 8 years puts him right up there with the best of them. Pardon me while I hurl.

I've heard a couple of original recordings of Roosevelt's voice.

Believe it or not, Dreyfuss actually can come pretty close to his inflection and intonation.

The first time Clinton pops up is in the introduction, and it really surprised me. However, I had my wits about me enough to notice that after Clinton's introductory words, the nice historian lady came on and said something about TR like: "This is a president who didn't hide his true nature: He was a lion."

Kinda ironical.

Mike I., are you sure you didn't hear him in person? :neener:

I agree Mike. RD 's voice is just a bit higher pitched is than TR's was.
