(apart from Wilson)
1991 Colt Commander
I see MidwayUSA carries the Ed Brown extended thumb safety, but no slide stop.
In fact, no extended slide stop appears on the Ed Brown parts page.
What makes do you recommend, and is there a place to purchase both from the same source?
thanks

At one time you could have gotten a couple out of my trash can.
The extended slide stop is not a good idea for the 1911 family. It is subject to stopping the slide open before the magazine is empty, due to inertia or a bump by the thumb.

I appreciate the info, but does anyone know where to buy both extended slide stops and safeties in stainless from the same manuf.?
Strange that both Midway and Brownell's have one or the other but not both.

If you just must, King's makes them or made them, I do not know their operational status now. They may be out of business.
Maybe this outfit has some left.

I agree with Jim, extended slide stops cause more problems then they cure, and are not needed in the first place.
Your left thumb is almost laying on the standard slide release when you get done slapping a magazine in it. Close it with your left thumb.
