I am considering an Benelli M2 Tactical but have read about functioning problems with them when accessories and added.

I'd be looking to install a side-saddle and a light mount, probably the type that attaches to the magazine tube. Will these compromise the M2s functioning?

You won't know until you try. It depends some on if the gun is brand new or broken in and the load used. As a general rule, after break-in, with full power loads, you can get by with any two from the list: Side saddle, optic, light. It may or may not work with all three.

i read somewhere it's very sensitive to weight. if weight is added, it will not function correctly.

I have an M2 with a Surefire forend....functions 100%.

I would never put a side-saddle on it, so not sure about that...
