My downstairs neighbour is so tactical...

...(and I mean that in the nicest possible way!)
Saturday morning before I left for work, he handed me his new-ish G27 to have Meprolights put on it.
He also handed me his Advantage Arms .22 conversion for the G27 to have Meps put on it, too. After all, what good is a .22 trainer if it doesn't have the same sight picture as the big gun?
Now that's tactical. :scrutiny:

I did the same thing with my Glock 17 and my Advantage Arms .22 conversion.
The point of practicing with the .22 conversion is supposed to be cheap practice with your own trigger, but if the sight picture is completely different what good is that?
Anyway, it is a cool idea!

Once saw a Wanted to Buy add for "dead" night sights. Ad confused me (who want's old dead night sights:confused: )
On follow up the guy had the same thing planned for his AA conversion. He just wanted the same sight picture as his new night sights, but realized any of the rare opportunities for dark shooting training would be used with the standard slide, so condition of the trintium on the .22 slide meant nothing. He got some old faded sights for a very low price. Very clever I thought :)

Makes sense to me! I never even thought about it like that...
I still can't bring myself to get a conversion though, I'd much rather just add another pistol to the collection.

More happy accident than tacticality (especially since it doesn't do anything at all for slicking up a draw, but it's primarily a range toy, and anyway, I digress); bought a MecGar adjustable rear site for my CZ75, then later on got the Kadet kit (.22 conversion), which came with... A MecGar adjustable rear! :)
