Greetings,
A little problem here.
I bought a few Speer 80 grains .224 bullets and those are so long that I cannot seat them deep enough to fit my magazine. I do not have that issue with the Hornady 75 grains because the ogive angle is further on the bullet.
Any solution? (I guess not...)
Thank you

Purchase a Bob Sled so you can single-feed them and with each shot of the AR, the Bob Sled holds the bolt open so you can drop another round on top and hit the bolt release.
If you are going to shoot these bullets, that is all you can do that I know of.
Also, I hope your twist is faster than 1 in 9 or you may not have the spin necessary to keep these beasts stabilized.

sell them to someone who shoots HP. they are too long to be mag fed, as are the sierra 80g SMK.

I'm in agreement with the other two posters. I own two AR15's one with a 1/9 twist and the other, a HBar Colt with a 1/7 twist. The 80 grain ones only shoot decently from my Colt...single shot. The other AR shoots patterns, not groups with them.
