Whoa! If what shooter Frederick says is true, off duty officer dressed as an axe murderer deserved to be shot. "I have a gun" followed by two warning shots generally dissuades a normal person to stop.

Then again, there's Officer C.'s side of the story I'd love to hear.

Gonna be intersting... even if i thought the two warning shots were blanks, I would have stopped.

Also, the friends should have told the "shooter" that it was a joke before he fired off another two rounds.

As 4v50 Gary said, it looks like the cop was behaving stupidly. Why would halloween make stupidity okay?

On the other hand, isn't firing warning shots one of those taboos, like "shooting to wound"?

Alcohol and guns do not mix (at least, not without dire consequences).

My guess...cop was drunk, most of the group were drunk. Good thing for the cop it was a .32 or his "wounds to the face" would be greater.
