As pointed out by many in the comments section of that page.... this is a really stupid thing to do for several very good reasons... some concerning the people and some concerning the deer...

If they are fallow, or pet deer, I don't see a problem with that, if these people take care of them in a humane manner and the deer are protected from other wildlife and predators.
