Well I finally got to pick up my Springfield WWII 1911-A1 what a nicely made gun especially for the money. I paid 400.00 for it. And it also has the new frontstrap thank god did not really like the blocky ones.. I will hopefully get to the range next week to give it a try. Just thought I would post some pics. of my new baby..

It's so clean & shiny it almost looks like a toy! ;) Congrats on your new 1911 :cool:

Very nice. I have one and really like it. I had fun switching out some of the parts to real GI parts and now it looks even better.
