Im new to this rifle , got one yesterday. Intended to try this for deer season.
I ordered two boxes of Hornady 165 gr BTSP. I guess this is the same they used for the .308 . ANyone tried these ?

7.5x55 has performance nearly identical to the a .308 Winchester. The Swiss K31 is famous for it's accuracy with it's issued open sights. What a combo. A great rifle shooting the perfect cartridge. Ideal for deer hunting.

I have used my K31 for the past two years. So far it has been two shots two deer. One was at around 150yds(went about 50 yards)and the other was about 15 yards (DRT). Both were mature does with lung shots. While I have shot the hornady rounds and have found them accurate, I load my own with the hornady 165 corelock at around 2600fps. Privi Partizan makes the Swiss ammo for Hornady and it is good ammo/

Is this the same bullet as you mentioned ?

Check the point of impact with your ammo of choice before you hunt with it-they tend to shoot a bit high, at 100 yards anyway.

UPS just delivered my ammo, GP11 and Hornady 165 gr BTSP. Will see how these go as soon get to the range.
