I just stumbled upon the below and wonder if this has been around for a while or if this is something new SOG is offering. They come with a 20 round magazine

SOG's Sterling chambered in 7.62x25 (https://www.southernohiogun.com/index.php/handguns/new-handguns/sterling-7-62x25-cal-pistol.html)

If this has been around a while, does anyone have any experience with these things?

Thanks in advance!

I was reading in Shotgun news last month about a 7.62 Tok upper for an M4, so yeah, seems like someone at the gun companies reads these boards.

Great concept. I'm a fan of both the cartridge and the platform. Unfortunately, I'm tapped out for toys for the rest of the year.

I forgot to mention the best part, it took paw paw shaw (PPSH) mags...

I kind of like it. 579.95 isn't out of line. I'd like to handle one first though.

Hooray! More guns in 7.62X25! I hope that they begin making a carbine version.

I wonder if it's a locked breech or direct blowback system?

Why is every one so enthralled by the 7.62X25. It's been around since 1893, except then they called it the .30 Mauser. Then later it was reinvented and called the 30 Luger . The Russians just used a faster burning powder and called it the 7.65X25. In fact the .30 Luger has a heavier bullet at 93 Gr's.:banghead:

because its an awesome round that is very cheap. Everyone just wants a good platform to shoot it from and so far we do not really have that.

How about a nice 1911 shooting the 7.62x25:)

Hi Point has been saying for several years they were coming out with a 45acp Carbine, but have yet to do so.

.30 Luger is a much smaller case.

How about a nice 1911 shooting the 7.62x25

There were some ex U.S. WWII Lend Lease 1911A1s that were imported from China about 20-25 years ago that had been converted to shoot 7.62x25. The Chinese internally thinned the front grip strap and back wall of the mag well to get the longer mags to fit. Never shot one, though, and the condition wasn't that great.:scrutiny:

It's the old mauser round only hotter. It's a good round and I wish there were more bullet options for this round.
