...but my poor dog doesn't have a calendar. Took her out today to see if we could find some quail that I've been seeing in the alfalfa. We did. She did great and honed right in on a covey of quail. Shot a pistol after I flushed them for her benefit, she's probably thinking, "why didn't he get a bird?"

Sure looks like a Lewellin Setter. Lots of variation in color and markings among them.
Couldn't think of the name; I've only seen a few of them.
