Has anyone tried the RCBS Auto Prime unit for the Rockchucker Supreme press?

Doing many cases with the hand primer starts to both my hand, and I'm hoping that the Auto prime would be faster too.

Can you expand cases and prime in the same step like with the Lee auto prime on a turret press?

Oh btw, this is my first post so Hi everybody.

I purchased the RCBS auto prime and use it with my Rockchucker. Since I don't leave my press set up unless I am using it I find that it isn't worth the effort to load and adjust the auto prime unless I am going to do a lot of reloading. For small batches it is much easier to use the hand primer.

I like having all the toys so I'm not sorry I bought it but if I were on a tight buget I wouldn't have purchased it.

The auto prime works on the handle "up" stroke so it can be combined with "down" stroke operations.

Thanks tding,
I usually size & prime large batches at once, then load powder and bullets at another time. Sounds to me like it might be worth trying, especialy if I can combine the expanding and priming into one step.
Does it need much adjustment to work reliably?

It will jam if not properly adjusted. It isn't difficult - just takes some time.

You will also want a primer tray to help load the primers in a pickup tube (large and small pickup tubes come with the auto prime).
