I am interviewing for a job in Duluth, Ga. Just wondering what you guys have in the way shooting related activities? Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, and Hunting. Gun stores too. I'll have some free time and a rental car to check some places out, so post up any places I should go.

I am particularly hoping that there is a nice rifle range nearby with more than 100 yards available.

I also enjoy skeet/trap/s.c.

Any general comments regarding the area are welcome (I also like fishing and good food).

Thanks

(mods, if I have this miscategorized....)

Hmmm...I'll chime in.

Unfortunately there isn't too much, but there are a few options. Just south in Norcross there's a decent indoor pistol/rifle range (25 yards) called American Marksman if my memory serves. To the east of Duluth in Lawrenceville there is another 25 yard indoor pistol/rifle/gun store called Bullseye. For an outdoor range you are pretty limited in the Metro Atlanta area. The best place I've found is a Wildlife Center called Charlie Elliott which is a good hour out of Atlanta to the east, but it's free and outdoors. The other outdoor ranges are good distance from Atlanta also and some of them require membership of some kind.

Good luck on the job interview. Atlanta's a great city to live in!

You can rent full autos at Bullseye.

American Classic Marksman is the indoor range in Norcross. South River Gun Club has outdoor ranges, but it's a private club. There is a public outdoor range in DeKalb County but I can't think of the name.

The Gun Depot in Lawrenceville And David's Gunroom have good inventory. David's has reloading supplies. Lots of eye candy including airguns at Chuck's Firearms in Buckhead (very helpful owner).

Ouch, doesn't sound promising. Looks like about an hour drive to get to anything interesting (thinking for if I move down there). Was hoping to get close to a longer rifle range than what I have now.

Maryland is the other place I was considering a job. Mehh.

Check out The South River Gun Club Covington, very nice facility, skeet, rifle and about 10 pistol ranges. To shoot Pistol and rifle you have to become a member.
