I've got a Big Boy located by sign. He's whittled a 18" round pine tree down to 12", and my hunting buddy has seen his body. HUGE was the description. He busted me on the way in on Saturday morning before light, and I guess is already patterning at night. How do I pull him out of bed? It's too thick for me to stalk him, and I know he'd be gone then.

Either find him in the rut, or wait till late season when its cold and take him with a bow. After the rut, he'll be hungry and will start coming out a little earlier, I've seen more big boys in the late season than any other time.
Or, get some trail cams and start seeing his pattern, you might be able to catch him in a transition zone

sneak in between his late night food source and where you think he beds down. wait for him to take a nap in the morning and tag him.

All you gotta do to find a beaver is go duck hunting! Gawd. I spook one out of his dam every time I come into a place before daylight.

I'm headed back out this weekend. He's feeding on acorn on the land I hunt, but bedding on other property I don't have permission to hunt. I'm debating staying out of there till rut and then running out a decoy covered in estrus. I want this dude bad. Anyone got any vanilla extract? :uhoh:
