that was some pretty sad shooting... 10 yards away and cannot make a clean kill shot.

PATHETIC!!!!!! A real fking humane way to kill something, obviously underpowered bows and poorly placed shots. I don't think these are even "wild" hogs, no tusks and no fear of humans. REAL men there...... Poor reflection on hunters...... JMHO....

agreed. Don't know how little they practice or how low the pull is. I found a hog carcass last year with a broadtip still in it. The IDIOT that was attemting to sharpen the blades only dulled them. You can tell they were to lazy to take the bades off and sharpen them properly.

They look to be farm raised and release in a wide expanse of land. First part showed them in jousting mode and nearby were plenty of feeds spread on the ground. Its intertaining though how these animals behave and fight each other with their tusks.

I think some of you are underestimating the thickness of the shield on these beasts. While I have no idea what poundage these folks are shooting or the weight of the arrow + broadhead being used, on a pig like that you most likely will not get a pass through. Additionally, when pigs are fighting, you can walk right up on them, they have little else on their minds.
Agree it was poor shooting as the shots should have been farther back, behind the shield and angled to penetrate the vitals. On pigs of that size you pretty much have to gut shoot them to get the arrow into the goody box. In dressing out larger pigs I have found broadheads, arrow shafts, bullets, and buckshot imbedded in nasty puss pockets in the shields

Obviously a put and release operation. Those are not wild hogs they are pen raised. As far as the penetration issues that is pretty typical penetration for a mechanical boradhead on a heavy bodied animal like a hog. The shot placement was good on that first hog both times he just wasn't getting good penetration.

That is why I used a 45-70 on my hog hunt.

They just don't have the symetry of born, and raised in the wild, Boars. As stated, most likely a put and take operation. The bright side is; there are two less free ranging Hogs in the world.

It would be more ethical to use a knife.

Obviously SKS rounds to the head of these two big ones would have been sufficient at close range.

Wow, they're noobs to shooting a hog with a bow it seems, the fact that their shot angle didn't cause good penetration didn't phase them to try to take a different angle to get better penetration, sheesh, what a waste of youtube space.

Yuck! I wonder if that stuff sitting in a live pig for a few weeks elevates the lead content of the meat?

It would take more than that to elevate lead levels. But it really doesn't matter because I wouldn't eat the nasty b_ _ _ ard if he had puss pockets, period. :barf:

You know, that's about the lamest thing I've ever seen. Clearly, those swine aren't feral--they're just domestic.

No feral hog on the planet would let you get to within a few feet like that, in the open, in broad daylight. Plus, those hogs are too well-fed and altogether too *clean* to have been out in the wild for any length of time.

"Hunt of a lifetime"? More like disgrace of a lifetime.

One of the finest hog rounds ever.

The only reason I continued to watch this thing was that I thought something interesting was going to happen...like those two hogs tearing up those two guys. Oh well. Next Thread...
