Just go a little above the heart and hit the aortic arch, that's roughly the equivalent of heart shooting them
OK, I can just around the dark red part and add just a little more onions. should be fine.

good post. some years back I was in a ground blind hog hunt with my ROA loaded to the max w/a Lee mold slug. I took a shot at a 'trotting' dry sow about 300 lbs and hit too far back and high but still drilled both lungs. it whirled around and ran so fast that neither me or my nephew (had his H&R 20ga Mag #2 Buck) could get a shot off. we had to track that thing nearly 1/2 mile but had a good blood trail after about 100 yds. there was little blood left in it when we dressed it out. tough animal indeed.

I thought the heart was a few inches further back than that....
So 1/3rd up the body inline with the shaft of the leg? Would that be the aim point?

Back when my shoulders allowed me to bow hunt, on a broadside shot, I aimed right behind the elbow on elk.
Heart/lung every time (if you don't hit the elbow or liver, or miss all together).
