Hey guys, quick question.

I picked up 100 of Speer's discontinued 170gr round nose bullets for my .270, and I'm trying to get some loads.

As you can guess, load data is pretty scarce. I'm familiar with the Optimal Charge Weight method, and I'd like to use it, but I'm trying to figure out where to begin.

Simple logic says to go between the 160gr and 180gr loads. Any opinions?

You can always use a lighter bullet than listed in your data.
Use the 180g data. It works perfectly well for the the OCW method. Your best 3 loads will still group as they should.
