In South Carolina they avg $800 give or take $200 a year. Though a lot seem to be running better than $1000 a year.
Or, to put it a different way, the lease runs anywhere from $5 to $20 an acre, depending on acreage and location.
I heard about 190 acres the other day that may or may not be available next year for $2000.

You're welcome.
I'd be curious myself what the costs are elsewhere.

I hunt on private land just outside of Natchez, Ms and there is a club about 10 mile down the road that charges $3000 per gun. This includes all immediate family members under 18 and spouse. Does not include any type of lodging and it costs extra to plant food plots and put up stands. It is 1000 acres and there are only 7 members. The area is well managed and there are plenty of 180+ inch deer killed every year. My dad paid $4 an acre for 2243 acres back in the 80's.:) We have 4 people that hunt our property.

I can get into a club here for 300 annually. They have a couple thousand acres and a sign out board. You sign out the area you are going to be and and no more than xx number of hunters are allowed to hunt that plot.

Arkel23 - don't know... I haven't paid to join. I think they have the leases, and it is a first come first serve type thing. I don't think one lease is specifically set out for a certain hunter. You sign out where you are going to that day on the board and remove your name when you come back in (from what I have been told by the president). They don't put out stands, but I am not sure about feed plots. I just hunt friends properties.

I hunt on a friend's 1,000 acres, so no charge. He just called me to say there are 3 bucks standing in his front yard. We will hunt the opener in the morning and until my wife and I get our deer, then he will allow other people to hunt. It is a real sweet deal.
Here in FL it depends on how close you are to one of the large cities. We hunt a state WMA and pay $525 a year for that! Private leases in the area are about double, if not more.

Arkel23- Most of the clubs here have people setting up their own stands and sharing the work and expense of communal food plots. I should mention too that the vast majority of the clubs where I'm from are mostly centered around dogs. We'll sit in the stand for archery and black powder, but come firearms season, the dogs get turned loose and we hunt from trucks. Yes. I am from the South. ;-)
