CZ 527 in .221 Remington Fire BALL?

I ran across this rumor, and haven't been able to find any confirmation or denial, including on CZ's site:banghead:

Anyone have any info regarding this? The source was supposedly "The American Hunter", a magazine I don't subscribe to.

This month's American Rifleman says the .221 is on its way, and they will start offering the 7.62X39 again. Sounds like a nice little rifle.

Ho-kay.
I called CZ-USA and the official word is: A definite maybe...:cuss:

They had a distributor who was gonna order a bunch of 'em. He backed out. There is enough interest that they may do it anyway, by mid-summer.
It will (probably) be the CZ 527 American configuration.
And that's all I learned.

Can you even get .221 Fireball brass anymore?

.221 brass is available from most sources, sadly, its Remington brass. If I can get a shooter in that chambering, I'll seriously consider forming my own from .222/.223 brass in other brands.

I'm waiting for the CZ 550 lux in 8x57JS. They will be mopping my drool off the floor when that comes out!
