Mossberg 835 length of pull

Does anyone know of a way to shorten the LoP on an 835? I've got one with all 3 barrels that I'd really like to keep, but its unfortunately about an inch too long for me to shoulder consistently. I've got the synthetic camo stock on mine, so I don't think that cutting the stock is an option. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance-
b

I cut the stock on my camo 835. It was only 3/8 " but it made a world of difference. The factory pad will also fit back on with a small lip which can be removed.

Thanks for the reply. Did you do that yourself or take it to a gunsmith?
thanks!

I used a hand back saw and a miter box to cut about 3/4" off of my 835 camo stock. Reinstall the pad using the same screw holes, (drilled a little deeper), trace around the pad and remove the excess with a belt sander being careful to keep the angle of the toe correct.

I used a band saw to cut mine. Just remember....you may not need as much removed as you think. Better to do it in small amounts.

I removed the stock on mine and replaced it with a collapsible stock that I bought on-line from ATI. It has the pistol grip - it's great for shooting slugs out of it, and the LOP is adjustable to six different LOP's. That gun can be used by my 13 year old, my wife or myself with just the click of a button.:D
