Drop In Barrels ??

The time has passed but there was a .45 cal Investarms/Hawken barrel on ebay, along with alot of other parts. The guy must have broke down the gun to sell whatever he could. My question is would the barrel fit my Investarms 50cal without any inletting? How about a 54 cal? Are the outside dimensions of the barrel the same? Is the wedge pin in the same place?

It will probably never come up again but you never know.
Actually there is still a checkered wooden stock with a recoil pad and sling swivels that I could use for field work.

Thanks,
BB

As far as I know all the Investarms barrels are 15/16"s across the flats and should interchange. My 45 cal cabelas hawken is my favorite BP rifle. You should have bought that barrel.

I almost forgot but Investarms used to have a smooth bored barrel that would fit the Hawken stock. There is a picture of one in the BP book by Sam Fadala. Good luck finding one. I have never seen one in person.
