Some years ago Goex made a black powder substitute called "clear shot" that I had good results with. Does anybody know where I can get some? Is there any sitting on a shelf somewhere or anybody have some to sell? My local dealer said his supplier still has some but he needs to place a combined order for 25lbs of powder & that will be a while. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks NRA PATRON LIFE MEMBER

I think you'll find that Triple Seven is the modern equivalent.

I believe Clean Shot is now American Pioneer Powder, with Triple 7 being a different maker altogether.

The Clear Shot is noticiably much finer grained than APP is.
There may be a similarily in composition but it doesn't look the same.
The newer Goex Pinnacle replaced Goex Clear Shot and that may be more similar to APP, but I haven't seen any of the Pinnacle yet.
IIRC Goex actually made the Clear Shot shot in a new production facility while Pinnacle was made by APP.
The former Clean Shot which is under new ownership as the result of a lawsuit with Hodgdon over the shape of their pellets is what is now known as APP or American Pioneer Powder.
The original Clean Shot made by Clean Shot Technologies often gets confused with Goex Clear Shot. But after Clear Shot was announced to the public, it took another year or two before it actually went into production and made it to the market place.
