How can I adjust my Mauser trigger so it's lighter and tighter?
Do I need a gunsmith to do it?

The mauser triggers are very easy to remove and replace ... about $30 gets you a new unit from MidwayUSA that should take care of you. As for tuning an existing setup, I'll wait and see what the others have to say.

If you are talking about a military mauser, while there are improvements that can be made the effort isn't worth it. Check out Brownell's and pick a replacement trigger.
