Never tried the modern variety (underlug, stainless) but I like my M25-2 so much I reworked a 4" M28-2 into a 4" 45 ACP "N" frame.

I like-um but don't own one yet... Some day I'm going to buy a M625 in .45 Colt.

Here what I did with the S&W 625 had an extra cylinder converted to .460 Rowlan and can also fire .45 acp .45 Super .45 auto rim .Recoil not much and follow up one hand shooting easy.I carry in a cross chest hostler so weight isn't a problem at all.

I'm fond of my 25-2 too. No moon clips needed to fire it. But I'm much more of a pleasure/target shooter than a speed shooter.
