Need Smaller Stock for Model 70

Newbie here. I recently bought a Winchester Model 70 .243 WSSM for my 12 year old. The stock is too long and I don't want to cut the synthetic. I've found replacements on the web for $74 but I wanna go even cheaper than that. Anyone have one to sell? Used is fine.

If not I'm gonna try to make one. Anyone ever done this?
