Photoshop Challenge: 1911's from Unlikely makers
George Hill
November 5, 2003, 12:25 PM
We have 1911 guns from S&W and now SIG... What would a 1911 look like from other unlikely gunmakers?
HK, Beretta, FN, Ruger, Bersa, Glock, Freedom Arms, Lazzeroni, Hi-Point, Steyr, Taurus, Walther, or Rossi... Take your pick.
Now, kinda like automakers with grills and front end fascias being similar across the line... you gotta make the 1911 recognizable as family line product.

Ruger would just make it larger, thicker, and clunkier with the same lines. You know, like what they did when they turned the Peacemaker into the Blackhawk. :D

Yeesh. I understand WHY Sig is doing this, mind you, I just think it's silly. I'd like to see more diversity in our handgun selection, not everybody making the same gun.

Small Company .. new to most ... ''LongReach Inc'' ...... have worked on the famous JMB action of the HP and stretched it a tad .... plus rechambering for the .45acp .... to make a lightweight 1911 variant, because so many love the 9mm version.
This is the short tube option ... they are working on the longer version which ensures even better bullet placement ... it contacts the BG.... always! :D
