Mine arrived today.
Even better trigger pull than the one I handled over in Idaho!
Have yet to shoot it, but nice and light loaded with Glasers and
38+P JHPs.

I think that I finally found the perfect snubby for me.

Congratulations on your LCR. I have one and it's a fine little
shooter. You made a wise choice, but then being a CZ man we
shouldn't expect anything else......

All of the LCRs I have handled (about eight now) rattle upon shaking. This is usually due to the transfer bar rattling about. Every Ruger revolver I have owned with a transfer bar sounds like a set of maracas upon being shaken. I currently own about eight Ruger revolvers and all of them rattle.

I worked up some .38 Spl loads for mine and took it out to the pit for a test run on them.
Did not like the 158 gr. LSWC, but the 125gr XTP's gave me some very nice little groupings and were a pleasure to shoot.
The LCR is a great snubby to reload for, and shoot.

As I stated on another site, my wife had narrowed her choice of CCW's to two, the LCR-LG or the S&W 642 also with the Crimson Trace Laser grip. She picked the LCR-LG but at the range she found the recoil to be too much. In fact on the third round fired the recoil tore the skin in the web between her thumb and index finger. I fired both FMJ target and Speer +P HP thru it, IMO the recoil is what should be expected from a 13 oz. weapon with a 1.8" barrel. Off to the gun show next weekend to let her pick another. I'd like to have a S&W 642 also, maybe she'll pick that and also not like the recoil. Another weapon for me.

Shake , yes. A little bit of rattle.
Nothing to bother me about as I carry a RAMI that also rattles from the
magazine.

Shake, rattle and roll! Nifty, I would love to try one of those out! Now to see if Hazel Leather can make you one heck of a holster for your new defender.

Yes if you shake it, it will rattle. I don't see it as a problem for self defense....on the other hand if you are into espionage and Bond
type activities you might want to make another choice such as a
CZ.....

I remember reading a thread the other month that said the transfer bar on all Rugers rattles if you shake the gun.
I had to find out, so I shook my GP-100 and they're right -- it does rattle. I'd never previously noticed, since who would shake a gun otherwise.

I am not a revolver fan but the LCR-LG I bought my wife, she doesn't like, but I like the grip, weight and balance. I put 50 rounds of .38 +P thru it today with 5 to 6 inch shot groups at 5 yds to 25 yds. Yes, the laser really helps.

Did your wife express any specifics? My sweet will probably end up carrying this wheel gun...not me.
