Collect? No.

Accumulate? Sorta. I have four- a .22LR/20ga (a 'regular' 24, can't recall the suffix), a 24C in .22LR/20ga, a .30-30/20ga, and a .223/12ga. My favorite is the 24C.

Here's my 22WMR/20ga. My dad has an older version 22LR/410

Don't collect em, but I have an old 22lr over 410 (was my first gun in 1951). I also have one that is .223 over 12 gauge, I acquired it as sonewhat of a survival weapon, and still don't know where it really belongs in my accumulation. Lots of fun to haul around though, especially when I might see just about anything I might want to shoot. Between the .223 and a 12 gauge slug I can just about take care of anything that comes along. Like many compromises, it does most things OK, but nothing particularly excellently.

My buddy and I, when I was a kid, would roam the woods for rabbit/squirrel. I liked shooting squirrel with a rifle, but when a rabbit jumped, he'd inevitably make it to cover before I could get on him with the rifle. I always liked the concept of the 24V. Not sure how accurate they are, but it's a great concept in .22/.410 or .22/20 gauge. I'd think the .22 mag might be a bit much, but could be fun. I really wouldn't see a reason for the .30-30/12 except it'd be a cool survival gun up north I guess. If you were in big bear country, the .30-30 backed by a slug, orr maybe the other way around, would work. I doubt you get 2 shots off before you got ate, anyway. LOL The 12 can take small game, after all, too.

For me, where I live and for what I'd use it for, a .22/410 or 20 gauge would be perfect. But, it's just never been a priority of mine to get one.

Having used both the 22lr/.410 and the 22wmr/20 ga many times, I choose to use the 22wmr/20ga much more often. The 20 ga shells are much easier to find and a greater range of choices usually as well as cheaper. I always thought the 22wmr round is what the 22lr should have been. It shoots much flatter and accurate for my uses. Makes for a decent cheap coyote killer. The model 24 is what I take when I am going to the field and want to take a gun not knowing what I will come across friend or foe. My 24 is very accurate. It is an early 60's model.
