I'm just curious about chronographs:

If you set one up, how far away do you set the unit of you are shooting pistols (say .38spcl or .357)?

Do you set them on the bench in front of you, or are you supposed to set them up five to ten feet away?

With moderate muzzle blast handguns I go to about 6 or 7 feet, more blast???? Move it a little farther away.... No hard/fast rule just make sure the blast isn't messing with the readings.......
