jim in Anchorage November 2, 2009, 09:13 PM What would it be? Notice I said "harvest" not "hunt". I have been hunting wolverines for 15 years and have yet to shoot one not in a trap:mad:
Me,big horn sheep,high B&C score.

If I had a tag, I would have achieved my dream harvest!
SheepNutz November 2, 2009, 09:30 PM I would love to have a moose, all that meat would make for some great burger, steaks, jerky, summer sausage, and brats! Here in Kentucky, we're up to 1000 elk tags a year, so hopefully I'll score an elk in the next few years, which would also be awesome.
jim in Anchorage November 2, 2009, 09:35 PM WTB-I need some help on that pic. You needed a spruce tag?
offroaddiver November 2, 2009, 10:26 PM I have never seen a live moose then again the deer i've seen live were about the size of a 14 yo kid. Haven't seen very many large deer in a few years.
I would love to see the tn gray wolf to numbers that i could harvest one.
JWF III November 2, 2009, 10:35 PM playboy bunny
I'd rather have a full limit. But one would satisfying enough.
Not really an "animal", but I want a Harlequin. I had a chance to harvest a couple the first year I duck hunted. Not being real sure what they were, (and having seen the wardens at the boat ramp several times earlier in the season) I held off. Got home and did some looking around and found out what they were. I also found out that the season was closed on the Atl. Flyway. And always is. Two drakes and one hen, on a lake in central Georgia. Probably will never see that again.
The only time that I regret following the law. Sure do wish I'd have known that the GWs weren't going to be at the ramp when I saw the birds.
Heck, everybody that I've told that I saw them here doesn't believe me. Oh well. I can't promise that I won't prove it if I ever see them again. But until then, I'm going to say I'm going to follow the law. We'll have to see what happens if I ever see some again.

BMF500 November 2, 2009, 10:43 PM Bison, and do it old skool with a musket.
MCgunner November 2, 2009, 10:58 PM Well, honestly, I don't know. I love waterfowling. I enjoy big game hunting in big game country. I guess, probably, a big 6x6 elk. My house has 7 ft ceilings, though. I'm not sure where I'd put the mount. I would like to get a Nilgai someday. Does that count as North American? I mean, they're all over the place on some of the big ranches south of here. I'd love to shoot caribou, but don't like the weather real cold. LOL! I guess that would totally eliminate musk ox.
One thing I, as a wing shooter, really wanna do is pheasant in South Dakota. I'd love to do that in a few years.
Bison, and do it old skool with a musket.
Old skool would be atlatl....or, perhaps, just running 'em off a cliff. :D

Funny you would mention that. Guy I work with buddy drew a bison permit for the Fairbanks area[very hard to get] He wants a 1874 sharps just for the occasion

jim in Anchorage November 2, 2009, 11:19 PM Good for him, I hope he gets the Sharps too. That will be a real treat.
My jealousy factor was off the chart. That permit is like winning the lottery. And the season lasts 6 months.
I'd love to shoot caribou, but don't like the weather real cold. LOL! I
Some of the warmest weather hunting I have ever done anywhere was caribou. In fact, in some parts of the state the law requires meat to be left bone in to slow spoilage
Dr. Tad Hussein Winslow November 3, 2009, 12:02 AM Yukon/Alaskan bull moose with a bow. Can't imagine it could get much better. But a free-range bison with a bow would be nice.
