Yugoslavian M76: 8mm Dragunov?

Hey y'all,
Just learned something about Yugo m76's, they're expensive! Just kiddiing, well they are, but that's not my point. I have a really nice VZ-24 and it would be great to have a more modern rifle that shoots the 8mm Mauser cartridge.
Is the M76 basically an 8mm Dragunov? Closer to a Romanian PSL? It 's own animal? Please educate me on this intriguing possibility! Thanks in advance!

they're expensive because they uses a milled receiver. The real Yugo M76 were imported by Mitchell's Arms back in the 80s but you'll be very hardpressed to find them now. The action is nothing more than a milled AK receiver enlarged, so in essence it's close to a PSL than a SVD. The ones Century is selling seems to have problem with the receiver, which are ORF if i'm not mistaken

Isn't ORF the guys who screwed up the new Galil receivers?

What other rifles (especially modern platforms) shoot 7.92x57mm?

Yeah, the M76 is mechanically just a scaled up AK. But it's a really well done scaled up AK. I've disassembled one side by side with a PSL, and there's no comparing the quality. If I were in the market for a major caliber AK, I would get an M76 with no hesitation.
