Anyone use the Winchester SXZ ammo from Bass Pro shop? Especially the JHP Personal Protection 9mm ones? How does this compare as a carry load compared to Speer Gold Dots? Are they decent to carry with or are they something that should only be used for target practice?

I shot about 300 rounds of the 9mm SXZ range ammo last weekend. The Lubalox winds up on your fingers after stuffing mags for a while, but it was otherwise just fine.

Supposedly its the same as Winchester White Box HP's but with the Lubalox coating on them.

I shoot them often but they are a tad dirty. Like Bix mentioned, the coating kinda gets shaved off here and there when it contacts parts of the gun.

If you clean your gun often anyhow, its no biggie. They shoot accurate, affordable and often overlooked... Exclusive to Bass Pro though.

Yeah I emailed Winchester a while back and they responded saying they were the same as the WWB HP's only with the black coating. However, I don't know how good of a round Winchester White Box stuff is for self defense or anything really as I've never seen or done any tests with them. Is it pretty good carry ammo? Or better to just use for target practice?
