My wife confiscated my S&W 60 Pro Series when I recieved it:

http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10001&storeId=10001&productId=67981&langId=-1&isFirearm=Y

Now I am torn. Since she stole mine I have to get a replacement  and while I was shopping for another I ran across a Kahr MK9

http://www.kahr.com/PA-1_9mm_mk.html

It will be used primarily for ccw, I like to pocket carry.

What say you?

For pocket carry I say both are too heavy.

x42 or PM9

You know I'm still gonna tell ya a model 60. Nothing like being able to grab hers or yours and having the same feeling in your grip. Besides, it's nice looking at the twins.

The weight doesnt bother me for pocket carry like it does most normal folks. Thanks for the input so far!

I like wheel guns the most so I cast M60 with 3", I regret not getting one. I also regret selling my 442, soon....it will be back!

Get a wheelgun. Colt 38 Agent are great for CC. If you can find one.

How about a 442 or pm9 instead same guns just lighter versions?

I had both you mentioned and liked them alot. So much that when lighter weight versions came out I had to get them. This was of no help but why the desire for the extra weight?

The desire for extra weight is less recoil, Ive shot the pm9 and its not bad, but I have to imagine that the mk9 is even better. Slightly quicker follow up. I carried my wife's model 60 around for five hours today in my pocket and it does not bother me in the least.

My main pocket gun up to this point is a 21 oz Taurus 85, the mod 60 is 23 oz and the MK9 with mag is 24 oz. Not that big a difference to me.

I can shoot my Mk9 a lot better than I can shoot my 2 inch model 60.It is awkward for me to pocket carry a 3 inch model 60. For me pocket carry is the only viable option. The recoil of the stainless steel Mk9 is tamer than the 60s.I love and collect S&W revolvers, but age and physical infirmities that I have acquired reinforced changes to my carry habits, and the Mk9 is a damn fine weapon. The downside to it was.with nitesights and high polish(I like shiny guns!)it was $825.

I have both an MK9 and a Mod. 60. I think both are too heavy for pocket carry. But the MK9 gets the call for EDC holster carry, and when I do need to pocket carry, an airweight Mod, 37 gets the nod. If I could have only the MK9 or a model 60, it would be no contest. I'd take the MK9 in a heartbeat (and I like revolvers).

I, too, love the MK9. GOOD carry piece however you tote it.

I managed to pick up an NIB MK9 Elite w/ night sights for $611 out the door so I went ahead with it. Thanks to everyone for the information and voting.
