Which grip is best in your opinion?

Does anyone have an opinion on how Trausch Grips compare with Hogue? The Hogue seem a little small to me. I'm concerned about recoil management and not concealability. They would be used on a SP101 with 357's

Sorry folks, I should have saidGRIPSso as to not confuse this post with the one about proper grip of the gun.

i've found the Hogue Monogrip about as big as i'd carry to go with a grip.

control is through griping the gun rather than having the grip fill your hand

I disagree, control is BOTH how your grip a gun and how it fits your hand. A properly fitting grip that you grip correctly will always be better than an ill fitting grip.

I'm actually considering getting some Trausch grips for my SP101 too. Where were you going to order them from?

I have the Hogue Monogrip on my SP101 and absolutely love it. I wouldn't change a thing and my hands are pretty large. On the original grip my pinky and part of my ring finger were off the grip.

TargetTerror I went on the Mfg web site for us distributors. The one I called only had white grips in stock and wouldn't be receiving another shipment for a month. I still need to call the other distributors.

My only thing with Hogue style grips, besides the fact that I love them, is that they are not fun to carry on bare skin.

I called Shooting Sports unlimited and they had gotten their shipment in early. I ordered mine on Monday. 309-797-2222

I have recently been introduced to laser sights via a friend of mine and was just wondering how practical they are for just a general purpose 9mm home protection and target practice weapon.

Laser grips like CT are great for HD and indoor target work. Not really suitable for outdoor work. I have a pair on a S&W 640, they have a cushion over the back strap that really helps with the recoil of that small frame .357. They are a great training aid for point shooting.
