With all the time I spent looking I don't reveal my source's for somebody that just push's a few button's. Too easy, you have to earn it like a lot of us do.

If I find ammo that is popular I never advertise it....It's hard enough as it is to get the stuff! I did finally find some .45 ACP ammo today.....450 rounds of 45 and 450 rounds of 9mm now.....I still feel like I don't have enough....I'm going to start reloading again!

Don't really know because I haven't seen any in the last year or so. Just simply can't find it around here.

Check www.mastercast.net. I've bought at least seven thousand (stopped counting) of their reloads over the last several years, and am a happy customer. As it happens, 9mm is back on their menu without spent brass in exchange. You can save a bundle by saving up your spent brass and sending it to them in exchange. If you decide to do that, send it USPS Priority Mail. I routinely fit a thousand spent cases in a nine buck box. Any other way of shipping costs over twenty dollars.

A big +1 on mastercast. I recently passed the 10,000 round mark with these guys. For high quality, accurate, reasonably priced range ammo, they are hard to beat.
I store all my brass until I hit ~2000 rounds, then I jam pack them all into the medium USPS flat rate box for $10.35:) The cost of shipping my empty brass to them plus the cost to have the ammo delivered adds ~$0.90/50 rounds.

While at Mill's Fleet Farm in Menomonee Falls WI I saw Blazer 9mm for $10 a box. American Eagle 9mm was $13.
I just noticed while there for other reasons. I don't own a 9mm so doesn't do me any good. Also won't do you any good unless you happen to live in the area.

If anyone is in central Ohio, I just bought a case of Blazer Brass from Fin Feather Fur for $10.99/box. Gander wants double that!

KJS- I thought I cleaned that place out of 9mm a couple of weeks ago. I'll have to go back and grab some more.

WalMart. Did you really need to ask? I bought as many boxes of their $8.97 brass-cased Federal ammo as they would sell me. If you have a single stage press and buy in quantities less than 1,000 of anything, it will take you a long time to make up the difference loading your own ammo if you can find the Wally World stuff at this price.
In fact, the $8.97 WalMart ammo was the reason I held off loading 9mm for so long. My cost for loading jacketed 9mm bullets was about the same, if not more!
Next would probably be other nationwide retailers. Academy's Monarch brand is good stuff, the steel cased 9mm was $11 and shot better than WWB, their brass-cased Monarch 9mm is $12 a box. Monarch is a contract brand made by Barnaul factories exclusively for Academy.

WallMart...$8.97 brass-cased Federal ammo..Limit 6 boxes per day... That is how the sign reads...But if you call them on it (AKA..go in late night, before midnight, then tell them you will be back after 12:00..they short out and will not sell you any...) Saying it is 6 boxes in a 24 hour period..(They interpret their signage to mean this..)

Walmart Store. 1661 Jungerman Rd St. Peters, MO 63304. Telephone: (636) 447-4450
or I have bought a lot on line from Sportsman Guide and Cabelas.
Or there is a Cabelas in Hazelwood, MO 63042 that is only about an hour from St. Peters, Mo.
Here are a bunch of gun stores around you too.

Hey, only half of BP is less than desirable, the other half is pretty good. :)
I will have to check on the 7.62x54 though. I think they would as they sell Mosins, but the question is not if they sell it, it is if it is on the shelf that is the question.......

the wally worlds here usually have it in stock and it's $9.97/50 Federal brand. They always have Federal .40s in stock for $13.97/50. However, they are not the cheapest with everything. Their 7.62x39 is crazy expensive. They wanted $24/50 Winchester brand (I think it was Winchester) and their .38 Special/.38+P/.357 Magnum is also priced quite a bit higher than Academy. I pay $5.67/20 for 7.62x39 Monarchs, $19.99/50 for .357 Magnum Monarchs, and I got a 100 bulk pack of Remington .38 Special for $32.99; all of those were at Academy.

Like Claude Clay, I reload. I was driven to it. It's my play with, plinking, centerfire pistol ammo. It's almost as scarce as hen's teeth in my part of the world and expensive, even for crap like Monark or the better Blaser when you actually find some, which is very seldom.
Now I can't get primers. Maybe things will get back to normal before I run out of everything and have to quit shooting. Local (92 miles is local ?) gun shop says he was told primers might become available after the first of the year. Hope he is right. Powder and bullets aren't a problem but without primers that doesn't do any good.

I actually live in vegas, but I have a friend in Elk River that has my M44 nagant. Thought if he was in the area he could pick up a box or two.
I lived in BP outside of Osseo on a farm which is still there on Jefferson.
The Potfin's drove me out. Not not really!

Wheel weights.....
Go to your local service centers and ask them for all the used ones they have. Or go to your nearest junk yard and yank them off every rim you see.

Cheapest place to get 9mm ammo.
In my shop for about $2.50 a box, but I'm seldom open to the public.:D
A couple days ago I was in Wal Mart buying 22LR. They had WWB 9mm for under $12/50. The 100 count box was about $21.

Not a problem, gave me a reason to play with a few of there m38 mosins :D
I have to admit, ammo is getting better. Last time at walfart they had some WWB .38 value packs and I actually left it, and some .45, and 9mm as I have "enough" for the time being.......
