Check this out. I got it in a Japanese tackle shop when I was stationed In Yokosuka. It doesn't flip too well & the latch is on the wrong handle but the blade is crazy sharp. It'll go through bait, mono, & braid all day long & still be able to fillet & cut sashimi after. I love balisongs, I have a BM42 and a couple of homemade ones I made in high school. I need to find someone to custom build handles for it one day.

Very cool --- never really seen one like it --- how much did you pay for it ??

Is there any brand and model information on the knife?

That's certainly not like anything I've seen here.

Interesting indeed.

Yeah, I paid 750 yen for it about $9.00 American and Daiwa fishing makes it. OAL is 8 1/2 in. Don't know the steel's hardness but it doesn't take much to make it razor again.
