not much input on this discussion so I thought I would try a different title ...
Thoughts ....
Also, will the .40 cal mag trick work for the P99 in 9mm????

I've fired a P99 in .40 S&W a couple of magazines worth. I found it to be a nice shooting pistol. They have a lot of nice features
The P220 is a .45 (usually) and I am biased as mine just felt great and shoots great from the first time I picked it up. It's a lot larger physically, I'd guess. Horses for courses.
I got one with a nickle slide to hold up under a lot of range use. Here with a S&W 3913

SIGs are nice, I just don't own any. I like the full size 226, very accurate in my hands. I have the P99 in 9mm, but haven't met anyone who's tried the mag swap.
Sidenote: I see a 3913 in my future...perhaps..;)
